Physical wellness promotes proper care of our entire bodies for optimal health and functioning. Purposeful exercise (i.e. cardiovascular, strength training, etc.), cumulative daily movement, minimal sitting, proper rest and sleep, preventative medical care, and healthy eating habits are just some of the components of physical wellness that contribute to our overall well-being.

In this challenge, the focus is on purposeful exercise and daily movement, similar to the Go Move Challenge in February that takes place among AJCU faculty and staff. This October, USF faculty and staff will compete against USF students to inspire one another to move more!

Be sure to include your minutes and describe the type(s) of physical activity each time you check in.

  7. One hour of reformer Pilates at LAF πŸ’ͺ🏻

  8. Love doing group fitness challenges. We have a similar platform at CDPH. Does anyone know if there is future capability to sync fitness trackers to this platform? We have this at CDPH and it allows your fitness activity to immediately sync to your profile and only enter activity when necessary.

    • Hi Sharon, with this platform we will not be able to sync fitness trackers. we hired a 3rd party vendor to create the site and I originally requested a quote and it was crazy expensive and complex! I have my garmin that tracks everything and then I enter my minutes from that. Great question though. In an ideal world we would have it!

  9. 8 hours of fitness 😊πŸ’ͺ

    • please share what you did for 8 hours!

  10. Training for a couple of (small) events, which should motivate me. But I really enjoy logging my minutes. Gives me an extra nudge to put in the work. πŸ™‚

  11. I told myself that this month I am not going to take Muni, Uber, or Lyft. All transportation will be done on my bike both during the week and during the weekends.

  12. 1 hour Reformer Pilates + 1 hour Zumba πŸ’ƒπŸΌπŸ’ͺ🏻

  13. I’ve been consistent about the gym this month, except for the few days that I got a nasty cold. Watch out for those bugs!

  14. I don’t usually log in my walking minutes but this time tracked 13.4 miles and 34,634 steps.
